List criteria in Analytics

Hi there!

We are trying to build a widget looking at sales against certain List manager lists, however I can't seem to filter down to my specific list numbers created yesterday. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make this work? Currently I get the list criteria option, however it displays a huge number of List numbers with no option to see my new list.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer on this!

Cheers,

Tanya

  • Hey Tanya,

Lists are kooky as far as filtering as are constituencies.  Take a look at my churn board that filters on lists

    1. In the List filter pane go to Text
    2. select Containing
    3. choose your list with commas around it

You'll see a massive lot of lines there.  I believe that they are each representative of a single constituent and that string is a concatenation of all the lists that they appear in.  What you are doing is searching everyone's "list string" in case it contains the list you want.

In the example below the 1st person is in list 1106, 1527, 1611 etc

    Does that help?

If you are worried and want to test the results do a Jump to dash for constituent ids from your data set and in List manager do a spot check on your list to make sure these are definitely the droids you are looking for.

Give me a call if you want me to go through it Slight smile

    Cheers,
