Hi all,
I'm having a spot of bother installing the Infomaker 12.1 patch on my Windows 7 x64 workstation. An opaque InstallShield Wizard frame pops up and then freezes, the wizard runs fine on an XP box. Unfortunately, I only have a license for the Win7 machine.
I'm using the patch (EBF 19549: 12.1 (6950)) specified in this post:

Is this the correct version? Anyone else run into this problem?

Hi Patrick,
We have two licenses for Infomaker 12.1. One patched fine and the other one is experiencing exactly the same behaviour as you have stated. Both are identical laptops running Windows 7. We have just started a support ticket with Sybase, I will keep you posted with their findings.

Please be sure to install 12.1.6950 (EBF 19549). Later EBFs are not supported for use with Tessitura version 11. There may be problems with objects created in InfoMaker 12.1.7154 (the EBF Heather mentions) when deployed with the runtime files (those in the PBVM folder) which ship with Tessitura version 11.0.x.

I attempted to install EBF 20642 with the same result. Have escalated to Sybase, who advised I need to install Infomaker 12.1 Maintenance Release (EBF 18316) first, then apply the patch. Shockingly, I got the same result (frozen InstallShield frame). I too shall keep you updated.

Have discovered Windows 7 occasionally has problems with Install Shield. I was able to resolve this by booting my machine in safe mode and running the silent install batch file for the patch.
