We are carefully working through our first traversal of the v11 Upgrade, and upon my first encounter with TIM, I am wishing for a little clarification: on the Database Information screen, "Database Instance Name" field, the upgrade doc indicates item 7 of the preparation worksheet should be entered. However, item 7 of the worksheet is "SQL Server and Instance Name". not just the instance. Also, the screenshot in the upgrade doc shows what looks like a server name to me.
So, in our case, item 7 on our worksheet lists "ACTTRAIN/impresario" for server name + instance. Does TIM want:
ACTTRAIN
or
impresario
ACTTRAIN/impresario
?
Thanks.
Thanks, Ron. Since our database retains the default “impresario” name, that explains why the server name alone seems to be acceptable to TIM in this field.

TIM needs the full instance name here. So if you are using the default instance it will look like just the server name. If you have a named instance it would typically be <server>\<instance>.

Apparently, TIM wants the Server name. TIM and the upgrade doc could be a little clearer here.
