I tried to move an active membership to a different constituent by following the steps given on this link https://hello.tessituranetwork.com/knowledgeBase/14642987 but it didn't work. The instructions says to "adjust the contribution to 0' but when I try to do that, there is nothing available to adjust to 0. Any advice on how to do this will be greatly appreciated.
Are you looking at the contribution/order of the gift-giver? That's where the contribution amount should sit. Changing that contribution to 0 should automatically deactivate the gift membership on the recipient's record so that you can reassign it to a different constituent.
Thank you for your swift response. But according to the instructions, I thought I needed to deactivate the gift recipient membership first, which I did.
This is what I have done to find the order: Opened batch administrator > Open new batch> chose ticket uncontrolled > Ticket order > then enter the name of the gift giver in the “owner” and then find the order number. However when the system finds the order number, it shows as 0.00 in the gift giver record. Would it be possible for you to send the step by step instructions? Thank you!

Hello everyone, I tried what Emily Allen recommended and it didn't work - I can't even see a line in the contributions tab of Martha's original order (Martha is the gift-giver) that I can edit. Can any of you provide any suggestion on what I'm doing wrong. Thank you!!

Is Martha the donor? And does the $175 that I can see on the screenshot below accurately reflect the total amount of money she has given in the past 12 months? Inclusive of the gift membership? If so, if you have the ability to manually add a membership on the recipients record I would just do that and put a note on the record. I have sometimes run in to this problem and if Tessitura has the correct overall amount of giving it is easier to just manually add the membership and make note of it for next year.
