digital membership card and tracking non-ticket benefits

I was hoping someone could confirm my thoughts, please!

We are on v15.2, and have rolled out digital membership cards.  Am I correct in thinking that while I can set up a special access area in NScan to allow entry into the area (Donor Lounge) based on scanning the card,  I *cannot* scan that card and have it track benefits (free snack) unless it is set up as a ticketed event?

    Hi Kathleen, This is Jim with the Support team. Yes, that is true. Out of the box, only ticketing benefits can be used with membership card scans. Theoretically, it would be possible to create some additional custom app that could be used with manually tracked benefits, but that would require development effort and would not be part of N-Scan.
