Membership Lapse Period 0

Our current lapse period is set to 1 month but I am considering changing it to 0 as our Membership Manager does not like some of the ways it's handling renewals, keeping memberships active for that extra month, etc.. Has anyone encountered an issue with changing a lapse period in general or having a lapse period of 0? Any guidance here would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

    We have always had a lapse period of 0 months at the Science Museum of Minnesota. It's generally fine, but make sure to test your membership update report before you make the change, and track whether it's moving people correctly. We had to do some customizing on that, which I think was related to having a lapse period of 0. Other than that, it's been pretty straightforward as far as I can remember.
