Our current lapse period is set to 1 month but I am considering changing it to 0 as our Membership Manager does not like some of the ways it's handling renewals, keeping memberships active for that extra month, etc.. Has anyone encountered an issue with changing a lapse period in general or having a lapse period of 0? Any guidance here would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

We set our lapse period to 0 some time ago, to fix this exact problem. Renewed memberships that were in the lapsed period were having their expiration date set to one year after their original expiration date. This was not good customer service for our patrons, since they expect to receive 12 months of memberhsip after payment, and we were already in the habit of blocking their benefits as soon as the membership expired.
Since setting our lapse period to 0, all of our renewal date issues have stopped occurring. Definitely recommend!
