Does anyone know how to setup auto-renewing memberships to hit the revenue of the memberships funds each fiscal year? I am able to setup a pledge for 10 years but the membership amount for those 10 years would be associated with the year I entered the pledge and not for the next 10 fiscal years.
We did quite a bit of research at Shedd and it seems to be a lot more work to set it up than to just have a report run and emailed to you on the day you choose to auto-renew. Yes, more manual work to charge the card but we found it much better as most cards aren't valid a year out anyway and found the set-up to be painful.
hope this helps.

Thanks Janet!
Same at FTC; Took me about 6 months stuck on the "auto" part of auto-renewal not realizing that the record-keeping we have to have per state laws was easier done manually anyway.
I would highly suggest looking into your local laws and regulations surrounding automatic payments/renewal services as well if you plan on doing this. It can be very disruptive to find you're not following the rules too late.
Thank you. So by manually producing them, do you create ticklers each year to process the charge?

We actually implement a custom SSRS report that pulls all the relevant information. We use CSI's to track the notifications as required (per law). IIRC these are the fields on the report:
