Creating an 'offer' without using a source code

Hiya

As it stands, if we want to send out a mailing with a ticketing offer, e.g. Half price tickets our Box Office will facilitate the offer using an outside source code to enable it to be available online and at the Box Office. When a customer then books (over the phone) the B/O Agent will select the outside source code relating to the offer. Due to this, we are unable to analyse the return rate for our promoted mailing as the Agents aren't able to select the inside source.

Does anyone know a different way of setting up and facilitating offers as our Box Office are a bit stumped as to how we work around it, and as a Marketing Team we don't want our promoted mailings/emails to be pointless!

Thanks :-)

  • Why does the box office need to use an outside source for the offer instead of the in house source or sources you are promoting for the mailing?  Offers work with any kind of source.  If you are only going to have one source, there really is no reason why you can’t use an in house source; an in house source is as easy or easier to find than an outside source.  If you are using multiple sources for this mailing, you can set up a single offer to work with several different sources (as long as they are all in the same appeal), or set up multiple offers for the same Half Price price type, each one using a different source.  The only thing you can’t do is tie multiple different sources to the same promo code (word) for the web.
