Hi,
I’m writing because my organization where I work is interested in how best to do A/B Testing within Tessitura.
Specifically, we plan to deploy a specific E-News (to random selections of our patrons from the past two years – i.e. single ticket buyers, subscribers, etc) which will be deployed 3 – 5 times in the next several months. We do not want the same patrons to get surveyed multiple times.
Here is our question: What is the best way within Extraction Manager (within Tessitura) to configure the A/B Testing? Or, alternately, is A/B testing better configured through the E-News provider instead?
We appreciate in advance any advice/help on this. Thanks so much!
Warm regards,

We did this for triggered emails a while ago. We use a mix of extraction suppression and lists for our triggered emails. For the A/B testing we created two lists for our triggered emails and used a custom list criteria called Random Select on one list and then created a second list that excluded the first. I'd be happy to share the walk-through if it sounds like it might be what you're looking for.
Hi Melissa,
Thank you so much for this information. It is very helpful! I am interested in your walk-through steps (a hypothetical example is fine) if possible. Thanks again so much!
Rachel,
Attached is the help doc from our wiki. All of it may not apply to your situation. Let me know if you have any questions.
