Question: A/B Testing in Tessitura?

Hi,

I’m writing because my organization where I work is interested in how best to do A/B Testing within Tessitura.

Specifically, we plan to deploy a specific E-News (to random selections of our patrons from the past two years – i.e. single ticket buyers, subscribers, etc) which will be deployed 3 – 5 times in the next several months. We do not want the same patrons to get surveyed multiple times.

Here is our question: What is the best way within Extraction Manager (within Tessitura) to configure the A/B Testing? Or, alternately, is A/B testing better configured through the E-News provider instead?

We appreciate in advance any advice/help on this. Thanks so much!

Warm regards,

  • We did this for triggered emails a while ago. We use a mix of extraction suppression and lists for our triggered emails. For the A/B testing we created two lists for our triggered emails and used a custom list criteria called Random Select on one list and then created a second list that excluded the first. I'd be happy to share the walk-through if it sounds like it might be what you're looking for.
