Abandoned cart triggered emails - who's doing it, is it worth doing?

Hi everyone,

Here in the Perth Tessitura Consoritum we're talking about the ability to do triggered emails for abandoned carts. I know it was quite a hot topic a few years ago but I haven't really heard much about it for a while.

Who of you are using abandoned cart triggered emails, and how successful is it for you? It seems there's a bit of work involved to get the triggered emails set up, so is it worth us exploring this further based on your experience?

Thanks in advance

Nancy

  • Hi

We have been running an abandon cart email through WordFly for a number of months now.

It has been pretty successful with currently a 45% open rate, 14% CTR and a nice, modest but regular flow of income. The real advantage is that we did some work to build it so that there is different creative based on what was in your basket, and then we have just let us run itself, although looking at it now we need to do an update as a few of those productions have ended.

We've also do a 5pm send time, but might look at slightly later to see how that goes.

Here is what it looks like.
