WordFly response tracking in Tessitura

Is there a report for appeals/email mailings that we could pull from Tessitura to see email responses (opened, unsubscribed) to WordFly? Right now I am can see it on individual records but was curious if there was a report I could pull.

  • You can pull that information in Wordfly -- you can either look at the unsubscribes/opens per campaign or download a list of responses for multiple campaigns in the Export Data section. Is there any data in Tessitura but not in Wordfly you'd like to pull into that report, necessitating it be done in Tess instead?

  • I've always found Response Reporting on Promotions to be lacking in Tessitura--from the Reports module perspective anyway.

I'm willing to convene an Open Space in Orlando to spec out what our community thinks would be a useful base version of that report. Even though all our organizations probably want to look at things a little differently, I'm optimistic there's enough overlap that there could be a standard report that we could use where there's nothing now.

  • Having a common report that multiple sites can use to pull this kind of data in a standard way would be very nice.  I encourage the open space discussion to have a good conversation about those issues.

However, in the meantime, I'm wondering if one could simply set up some output sets elements to at least pull the raw data.  At least as an interim.

  • We have a custom report that aggregates in that data a la a pivot table, but then also pulls in the related revenue - specifically breaking out both ticket sales and contributions; it's been pretty helpful for us when it comes to getting a better snapshot of how our emails are doing.

  • For those at TLCC, this Open Space is now scheduled for today at 330pm.

I am hoping our collective brains can write up a spec to serve as a report request for a new standard report.

If you are further afield today but have a thought or two about what is essential for this sort of report, please share via this forum thread or send me an email at jobrien@new42.org. I’ll fold in any notes.
