Hi Everyone,
We're looking at trying to pull some data on a campaign we have run and I can't seem to find a way to pull out all the constituents who signed up for email/registered on our website during a certain time period. Can anyone help?
I'm relativley new to Tessitura so maybe I'm missing something obvious but I didn't see anything on it in the help guides or here on the forum!
I thought it could be related to 'source' as the 'source' of our constituent records that come from the web is just web but I can't find a functionality in either list manager or extraction manager that will give me the answer!
Thanks in adanvce for any help!
Soph
Sophie,
In list manager, you can use Constituent Create Date and Original Source to pull this information. This criteria are both found in the Constituent folder in list manager.
Ah thank you!
I've clearly been staring at it for too long and missed the 'Original Source' option,
Thank You for such a speedy reply!
Sophie
Hi Sophie,
Before you start relying on the Original Source field please bear in mind that this can very quickly become unreliable once the record is in a merge - specifically if it is the record selected as the Delete ID.
This is particularly true if you're in a consortium and/or find you process a lot of duplicate merges.
Martin
Hi Martin,
That's something I hadn't thought of thank you, that would explain why my numbers are not as expected. Are you familier with any way around this or is this data that just gets lost in merging?
Thank You for your help,
In a previous role (which was in a consortium) we had to deal with a lot of duplicae merging (thank you internet!). As well as this, we used to import a lot of data from external sources - such as the venue and other ticket resellers (Ticketmaster, Groupon et al).
We used an Attribute of "Original data source" and have corresponding values. We had an overnight job that ran before the merge job which added the appropriate attribute/value for any record created that day by either human operator or our website. After constituent or order import, the attribute was added as part of the process. To find out where the person originally came from we just looked for the attribute with the earliest date.
Having said that, it was also interesting to note how the same person interacted with us via differing sources.
