Moved from Mail2 to WordFly?

Has anyone moved over to WordFly since the Mail2 "upgrade"? We are still experiencing problems with Mail2 and I'm interested in speaking with someone who has changed platforms. Thanks!

  • We are looking at Wordfly as well. Something to look out for is that given they link to the constituents record in Tessitura, there is an issue that can come up when multiple accounts use the same email address. An example would be: a person with the email person@email.com clicks to unsubscribe from your email and the unsubscribe is only recorded in one Tessitura account. But person@email.com may be in multiple accounts or even at the household level. Only one instance is recorded as unsubscribing. The other uses of person@email.com could still be pulled.  At least that's my understanding at the moment.

This email was sent from my iPhone. Apologies for any typos.

I'd be curious to know everyone's thoughts on this too, we're strongly considering the switch to wordfly and the biggest thing I'm starting to digest is the different integration styles between the two products.

I like Mail2 from a database perspective, but functionally my staff dislike it, and their templates leave something to be desired.

Quick question for everyone on this. It’s my understanding that Mail2 manages accounts at the individual email level whereas WordFly works at the constituent level. Does anyone see any issues switching from one to other?

We are moving to WordFly starting with the new fiscal year. If you are considering it, they have a recorded webinar that describes the Tessitura integration. There are scheduled campaigns. It is a different method of creating these as you use lists/extractions and output sets to pull the custom data you want. Regarding the cost, Wordfly rates are significantly lower.

I'm interested to know this as well. We are also frustrated with the "upgrade" and the only thing holding me back from moving to another platform is cost and I also don't want to lose the ability to send automated campaigns like our pre- and post-performance emails. I was looking at MailChimp, but from what I can tell we would need to write our own custom integration.
