OT: Facebook "Promote Your Page"

Hi Jenn.

We set aside $35 a month to run a “Become a Fan” ad on Facebook specifically promoting our page.

We spend a measly $5 a day for 7 days.

Usually garners 20+ new fans and maxes out the click-thru budget.

Has anyone used the "Promote this Page" ads to successfully add fans to your Facebook page?  We've begun to explore show ads and placed several, but I haven't done any generic branding ads.
