OT: Facebook "Promote Your Page"

Hi All  -this if off topic, sorry big eye in the sky Tess-web moderators.

Has anyone used the "Promote this Page" ads to sucessfully add fans to your Facebook page?  We've begun to explore show ads and placed several, but I haven't done any generic branding ads.

Advice?

Thanks!

Jen

  • At this point we have not used FB Fliers to promote our page, just eblasts, and links from our site, and other related sites. We've found that the most loyal fans come from our existing base, and when they become fans it spreads the word to similar folks, and we want the friends of those existing fans to become our fans.

We consider our efforts fruitful to this point, and are pleased with fan base growth.

  • Hi Jenn.

We set aside $35 a month to run a “Become a Fan” ad on Facebook specifically promoting our page.

We spend a measly $5 a day for 7 days.

Usually garners 20+ new fans and maxes out the click-thru budget.
