Hello,
I've been tasked with researching the WealthEngine integration as possible addition to our system - we're a consortium and use RAMP. Could anyone provide feedback regarding this product, i.e. pros/cons and how it's benefited your organization? Could you also provide information about the actual integration, i.e. how long did it take and what were the challenges if any?
Thank you,
Shereen
Hi, Shereen:
I am not one of the people who use WealthEngine data in our organization, so I can’t speak to that side of it except to say that I know we like to run lists of people who have tickets to things against a WealthEngine attribute we’ve added to Tessitura (the P2G) to see if there are any attendees whom we didn’t know had, potentially, a high gift capacity. I did the integration, and it went fairly smoothly. I ran a couple of scripts, added an InfoMaker pbl for the custom screen to our local library, and updated a couple of settings in Tessitura.
The only tricky part of the installation was actually importing the data from Wealth Engine into Tessitura. It took a few tries before the provided file was in a format Tessitura could use. WealthEngine support staff were very responsive, though, so getting the data corrected so that I could import it happened quickly.
Setting up WealthEngine in Tessitura took an hour or two, but it was perhaps a week or so after that before I actually got data into the local tables. The web connect custom screen worked immediately after the installation, though.

Thank you, Lucie. If we move forward I’ll be the one responsible for the implementation so this information is very helpful. Were the scripts provided or did you need to create them? Were you provided with complete instructions for the implementation? Lastly, are you part of a consortium and if so how did this affect implementation if it affected it at all?

Everything is available for download (scripts, pbl, instructions) on TASK. The documentation is pretty thorough. As I said, the only issue I really had was the actual import of data. If you’ve ever imported constituents, it’s a similar process. If not, you may have to figure out how to format the path of your import file.
Thank you, Lucie. You’ve been very helpful!

I have to chime in Shereen, only because we are also on RAMP and the process was a little challenging for me. We completed the integration process about 3-4 months ago and I was in the same role you are in terms of handling the import.
Wealth Engine ran our screening last November, so we did not know we could ask them to reformat our data to work with the import utility. I had spent several days assuming that I had to format a huge access file when all I had to do was ask Wealth Engine to do it for me. Also, when we mentioned to them that we were on RAMP, they didn't know what that meant, which surprised us a bit.
Feel free to send me an email if you have any issues with this up the road. Good luck!!! :)
Thank you, Tiffany! I may be in touch if we move forward with this project.
