Need sales report help!

We've recently joined Tessitura, having previously used Patron Edge. There's a report that PE used to produce that was really handy but I can't seem to find a coresponding one in Tessitura. Basically we need to get a breakdown, performance by performance for a run of shows (i.e. same title, Monday to Saturday) and break down each individual performance income total into payment types. Something like:

01/01/2011 total =  £10,000, (£8,000 credit cards, £1,000 cash, £200 gift vouchers, £300 cheque.)

02/01/2011 total = £7,500, (£5,000 credit cards, £1,000 cash, £1,000 in gift vouchers

03/01/2011 total = £20,000 (£15,000 credit cards, £4,000 cash, £1,000 cheque)

(I'm not expecting the report to be quite to sucsinct but this is the sort of data I need to get out)

We need to know how much income, show by show, was credit card as we charge visiting producers a small % to cover the transaction charges that the banks make.

In PE this was called "Event Sales by Performance" and that report also contained a lot of info that we didn't use, such as breaking the sales down auditorium area by area etc.

Any ideas?

Thanks

  • Hi Simon,

Have you tried the Payments by Performance report? it’s located in the ticketing box office reports folder.

    Hi Cheryl,

I've tried this report, but it seems to look at the daily takings rather than income for each performance - but thanks for the help.

  • Another report to refer to is Performance Transaction Detail, which provides a bit more filtering options and provides transaction level detail.  When run in Summary mode, it provides the same results as Payments by Performance.

  • Does this Performance Transaction Detail still exist? I can't seem to find anything by that title in the Reports list.

I'm trying to track down a G/L Code that's showing on the Posting Report but not showing on the G/L Report. I can't see exactly what transaction is getting that G/L Code to change that type of transaction to a different G/L.  The G/L Posting summary actually doesn't show the G/L codes for each posting???  And when you run the General Ledger Summary for the exact code you're trying to track down it just gives you amounts and the post number not the actual transaction. This shouldn't be this hard to track down. I can't find it on the Seat Map setup either.

  • Hi Adria,

I would try the Transactions by posting report. If you know the post number you can run by that or if you know the GL code then run using that criteria.

    Best Regards,
    Debbie
