Hi Finance Forum,
Has anyone had problems with credit card charges not processing through to Global Payments?
We have had a problem with credit card charges being sent to a "Held" status, especially with batches over 5 pages. These charges sit in the "held" status until the monthly reconcilaition process has been completed and a variance has been identified. Our IT department then manually processes these through to Global Payments.
Thanks so much,
Amy
Hi Demitrios,
Thank you so much for presenting this at the Conference. I will work for my IT Department to receive the Authorized Aging report daily.

Hello everyone
I asked this question at the Conference, and with no real answer. The indication was; if there was any interuption during the communication of Tessitura and the credit card processer, the transaction may be put on hold by Tessitura and must be manually released for settlement.
We use Transcend instead of Global Payments although there must be an Authorized Aging Report which you could run to indentify any transactions which have been authorized but not released for settlement.
Your finance team member can verify which transactions are real and instruct the IT department to manually release these for settlement. We run the Authorized Aging Report daily.

Hello Amy
Within the Authorized Aging Report they may transactions never completed in Tessitura for some odd reason; therefore a Finance Team representative must verify which transactions are to be manually released. There are some occasions as well which there could be 2 authorizations with the same payment / order # as well; the one settled and the other left just authorized state not to be released for settlement.
Therefore, it is mandatory to reconcile the credit card transactions settled to identify any variance. Then to identify which transactions are to be manually released for settlement.
I hope this helps. If you have any addtional questions, please do not hesitate to ask away.
