Depreciation of Tessitura

I would like to get an idea of the timeframe that different organizations have used for depreciating their Tessitura system.  Also, if you depreciated your hard costs on a different schedule as your soft costs.

Thanks

  • Dana,

I'm an IT type and not finance, but I'm curious about what you pieces you are depreciating.  Are you refering to the cost of the hardware running the system along with any capital expenses related to the implementation?

This is mostly for my own education.  I've found that understanding the accounting and finance side of the house often makes my life much easier. :)

  • Yes.  The hard costs (equipment, software, etc) as opposed to the costs for implementing the system such as consulting.

    Thanks

    Dana
