Using acknowledgements outside of Development

Morning all,

Our development team uitlises acknowledgements for creating customised letters to their donors and consitiuents.

I attended a great session on 'Quick and Beautiful Acknowledgements' by Ranie Daw at this years Aus/New Zealand meet up, and I'd love to be able to use the acknowledgement feature to create letters for our schools, tailored depending on how many performances they have attended this year vs last year, what future bookings they have coming up etc.

We currently use some ticket order acknowledgements for our invoicing and order confirmations, but i can't work out a way to use the mail merge without having access to the contributions feature. 

Does anyone here use acknowledgements? If so, how??

  • Hi Hannah, not sure if you've figured this out in the month since you posted, but thought I'd offer some pointers. If your ticket order acknowledgments are displayed in the application like reports (as opposed to automatically emailed out), then you should have access to the "Reports" menu at the top of the screen. In that menu, the "Merge" option will work just the same as the contribution acknowledgments, and all of Ranie's excellent advice applies.
