Inactivating Campaigns and Funds

Hello!

I am working on setting up new campaigns for our upcoming fiscal year, and I've noticed that we have a ton of funds and campaigns that we don't ever use that are still active. In order to clean up the records, I would like to inactivate these, but I'm not sure if there are any negative repercussions of inactivating funds or campaigns. Can anyone shed some light on the topic?

I am a new development and Tess person, so I'm still learning the ropes. Thank you so much for your help!

  • Sara,

I inactivate funds and campaigns each year. There are no negatives as far as reporting. The inactivated funds and campaigns will appear in the ALL list in Campaigns and Campaigns -> References. For list criteria and reporting, the inactivated funds and campaigns will appear at the bottom of the drop down list and will be grayed out. You can still select these items, it is just Tess’ way of letting you know those are not currently active.

    I hope this helps.
