Hi Beth:
I mercilessly delete my old Acknowledgement rules. It has never caused a problem for City Center.
I do not delete the actual letter type in the T_FORMAT_INFO system table, though. Old letters can be inactivated there and they will still show up as having been sent for past contributions.

Most of our letters are the same from year to year, so instead of deleting the rules and recreating them for a new year, I just update the campaign linked to the letter when the new fiscal year begins. This helps to save time and I don’t have to worry about omitting an ack letter rule.

Hey! I'm wondering what other organizations do in the Acknowledment tab under Campaigns --> References. I have noticed that there is no Inactivate button there. Is it okay to delete old acknowledgement rules to keep that table clean? Or is it better to just have this as an ever growing list because deleting entries here cause issues somewhere else? Thanks for any input you may have!
