Mysterious Elevated event issue

HI-

Has anyone ever had an issue where after creating an appeal, elevated event and attaching the correct and clean list, mystery folks end up as invitees on your elevated event screen?

Recently, I created an elevated event and appeal with a clean list of 48 donors based on certain criteria. Everything got promoted correctly; event invitations to 48 records were attached. But when I opened up the elevated event screen, inexplicably, there are more than the 48 folks from my list. In fact there are people on list as invitees who are not even donors.

Has anyone experienced this little bug and found the cause of the trouble?

Thanks-

    HI you!

Do you mean that someone is adding names to my event? Not at all likely. I remember this occasionally happened at TW too—we just ignored it. This is weird though, because there are folks on the invitee list that are not on my radar at all.

How are you doing with remote working? How’s life in NC?

    Thanks-

    Janine

    Janine,

Is it possible that folks are being added manually by other users at your organization?

  • Is it possible that a different appeal is incorrectly connected to that event and those people got invited in error?
We had this happen once when someone didn't notice they were attaching an event from the wrong year that had a similar name.
