Solicitations

Is there a way to import solicitation information right into the solicitation tab from an excel spreadsheet?  If I have a list of Constituent IDs and all the solicitation informationn, campaign, type, solicitor, worker, status, designation, etc... on a spreadsheet can I just upload it somehow?

If not, how do larger organizations keep track of all of this?  For example, I have a large board prospect list and they have a variety of solicitation statuses and ask amounts, so I can't just go in to the module and assign the one option to this board member's entire list...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You,
Nancy

  • Hi Marie,

Thanks for the e-mail!  I just learned that trick about using Note Pad and that is especially helpful with creating a huge list of a variety of constituents.  I suppose I could use this method here as well, I would just have to segment my prospect lists even further which would result in a lot of lists but hey – it’s worth a shot and see what takes the least time!

    Thanks so much!

    Nancy

There is a Mass Solicitation Utility…not sure if you can upload to it directly or if you need to create a list first with the names of all the people you want. If you already have the Constituent ID’s, you can upload your them as a list (with no criteria) then do the Mass Solicitation.

In your spreadsheet: Highlight your Constituent ID Column and paste it into a text file (like Note Pad). Save. Then go to List Manager and Upload that file to create a list.

    Hope that helps somewhat.
