I'm wondering where other users are storing the special meal requests by a patron?
We have had several instances where we need a value for vegetarian AND another for vegan. And sometimes this information is different for the spouse.
There are times a patron will not put their preference on a meal reply card, expecting us to recall their indication from a year ago.
It would be ideal if I could generate a list of everyone who is attending an activity and then cross reference it with this meal request note. Maybe there is a report by list which will show this information.
Thank you,
Chris
We're not currently doing this, but it sounds like an attribute would do the trick.
We have a note type for event notes, where we record information that needs to be considered for any kind of event. Then we have a custom output set that pulls the customer information and their event notes for a list of customers attending or invited to an event. We are also considering adding that note type to the activity and event reports.
If you are booking the event in a ticket order, you could use fields in the Custom Data tab.
This is what we currently use in this situation, and have had some custom reports written to view this information across performance or season level.
If you are interested in this we would be happy to share the report.
Cheers
Lisa
If the request can be made on the order level then I would create a custom order field for this. If it the note needs to be on the lineitem level, you may consider using the special request "Spec Req" field. Both fields can be used in reporting.
Indeed, we have added Dietary Restriction as an attribute. And we've also added a Research Note as well. It works great.
The next question is how to view these as a report?
