We are interested in rounding up ticket prices to include a donation...e.g. if a ticket is $37, then we might ask the customer if they would like to round up to $40, where the $3 would be a donation.
I am interested in knowing if anyone is currently doing this (or considering it) and what experience you have had with it.

We have actually done this at Center Theatre Group with all of our single ticket websales. It has been extremely successful and we use a roundup function at two dollar values.
We have raised a fair amount of money and our patrons like seeing us asking for it.
Some thought that it wasn't going to go well but it has. We haven't done this in our box office though. That is a great idea!
