Appeals and Gets

I've put together an appeal for our board. The trouble is, when board members "get" a contribution--that is, a friend or associate gives the contribution at the behest of the board member--that donor is not going to be in the list that the appeal was based on. So the appeal doesn't show up as a source when you enter the contribution, and it makes the reporting a lot more difficult.

Does anyone have any advice?

    Also, if you indeed want that donation to be added to an existing promotion in your appeal, you can manually enter the source number and this will add the promotion to the constituents record.
    Of course, this means you probably either need a cheat sheet with the promotion codes on it, or use the view source codes tool often.
