I've put together an appeal for our board. The trouble is, when board members "get" a contribution--that is, a friend or associate gives the contribution at the behest of the board member--that donor is not going to be in the list that the appeal was based on. So the appeal doesn't show up as a source when you enter the contribution, and it makes the reporting a lot more difficult.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks!

You could set up an outside source for each member of your board—or, if you don’t need to be that specific, or if it’s not possible to tell which board member solicited the gift, one outside source for contributions not on any board member’s original list.
