I'm researching better ways to sell fundraising events online. Currently I have TNEW forms that we make due with but they are far from ideal. I'm using the TNEW giving forms because we want the money to end up on the contribution screen. We have events of all different sizes throughout the year. At a basic level, I need people to be able to select the number of tickets they want and for the form to know how much to charge for that. For larger events I need to be able to collect guest names, dietary restrictions, seating info, etc. My questions are:
1. Is anyone successfully using TNEW giving forms to sell events in a way that is patron friendly?
2. If you aren't using TNEW forms, what other vendors are you using?
Thanks!
Hi - we have some of the same issues, however I will share some of what we are doing:
Contribution Pages
We do a sponsorship page in TNEW (This link is handed out on a per sponsor basis to make a payment - not open to public)
https://cart.fpconservatory.org/donate/i/83
in the cart we have a button with a link to a CC fee donation
https://cart.fpconservatory.org/donate/i/93
We have an event donation page (meaning no tickets/sponsorship benefits)
https://cart.fpconservatory.org/donate/i/82
We have a Ticket Purchase Page (This barely gets used - just for extra tickets sponsors may want to purchase - )
https://cart.fpconservatory.org/donate/i/84
If we have Tickets that are priced differently in different areas, we have a separate page for those that we give links to the folks purchasing extra or one off tickets at those tables
https://cart.fpconservatory.org/donate/i/85
Once we have most of the sponsorships sold and are down to just a few seats we take the Ticket purchase page off sale
We then build a Performance on the ticketing side to handle the last few capacity controlled single tickets
We use Forms to manage dietary restrictions and seating requests
We have other events we do this for as well and have our pages reference steps

Happy to help any way I can
Thanks, Laurel.
On this page: https://cart.fpconservatory.org/donate/i/84 how are you getting the amounts to populate when you select the different amount options? It doesn't look like those are separate pages, just that it fills in the amount. Or are they separate pages? And, how do you get the buttons to say more than just a dollar string? I'd love to pick your brain a bit more if you are willing.
Hi Liz, it just fills in the amount..it does not take you to a different page with a different form.
If you wanted to do that...I would suggest a single landing page with links to each other page that needs a different form.
Happy to set up a time to discuss and answer any questions.
