Spreadsheet into Tessitura?

I have an excel spreadsheet full of contacts (name, phone numbers, address etc.) that my office has researched for an event.  We wanted to know if it is possible to put this list into Tessitura without having to put in each contact one by one.  I thought there may be a way, but I'm not sure what it could be.

Thanks!

Angela

  • You can do this using the Constituent Import utility.  There is great documentation that will help you format your spreadsheet and it's a really slick process.  We've used it a handful of times with great results!

  • Angela,

There is a Constituent Import utility under the Reports module.  We use it all the time here at ATTPAC.  There is a document on the tessituranetwork.com site that explains how to use it.  It’s been very useful for us.

  • Yes there is indeed a way – convert the file to a .CSV or .TXT file and in List Manager click the IMPORT button

  • Just to clarify, the import function in List Manager allows you to import a list of constituent IDs into a Tessitura list, but not import new constituent accounts. It’s great if you have a list of existing constituents outside of Tessitura that you want to put back in so you can use in a report or extraction, but won’t help if you have new accounts you want to import.  The Constituent Import utility will import new constituent accounts, as others have mentioned.
