Hi everyone -
I did an initial EXPRESS screening in Wealth Engine on February 21st. I have been having a terrible time trying to get that information imported into Tessitura. Based on what Wealth Engine has told me, they are unable to format the export for Tessitura import/upload because I did an express screening (as opposed to a batch screening where an actual human looks at the data).
Has anyone else done an Express Screening and been able to use one of the pre-designed export templates to get the information into Tessitura? I have a support ticket open for this, but they've just said that the information in the files I'm trying to import (directly downloaded from Wealth Engine) is different than what is normally used in the procedure and in a different order.
Any help is appreciated!!
Thanks!
Hey Kari! We are going through this right now as well. Previously we have never had a problem. We would normally do an Express screening and then have to reach out to customer service to ask for the Tessitura import file. This time when we asked customer service they didn't really understand what we were asking for. I think it's just new folks & hopefully they will get it worked out. They should have someone there that understands what format is needed for Tessitura import. I'm going to keep on their customer service guy about this request. He did reach out to me again this morning and say he was working on it.
Hi Kari and Courtney -
I'm sorry to hear you are having difficulty with one of our ecosystem partners. We always expect the highest service and response from our ecosystem partners, and have reached out to Wealth Engine on your behalf to get attention to these matters.
We really appreciate you raising the flag on issues such as these, and please continue to do so!Just an FYI for you, we've also built a new Ecosystem forum that we've invited partners to participate in. It's new and in its nascent stage, but I'm hoping it will provide a place for people with like Ecosystem use (e.g. WealthEngine) to be able to converse. In the meantime, as you've figured out I believe batch screening is the only officially supported method to get the files you need to match the current Wealth Engine import utility. I'll let you know if we find out differently.
Best,
Heather
We also had issues with getting the correct export from Wealth Engine. It took multiple conversations with various people and several attempts to finally get our import correct. We did NOT renew our agreement with them and have since moved on to DonorSearch. While we are still in the infancy stage with DonorSearch, my initial read is that it is a much cleaner interface in the actual Tessitura Client.
Chiming in to say that we have also had significant issues with Wealth Engine and attempting to both successfully screen our constituents, and getting the information exported. As of today I am four months in to fighting with customer service, and this has obviously been incredibly frustrating, and a waste of time and resources. I don't see much chance that we would renew our contract with Wealth Engine.
Despite the frustration, I am glad to know this is not just a one-off issue I am experiencing. I'll reach out to their customer service team again and see if I can get any help. I wish I had known it was only batch screening to begin with, as we did the express screening in order to expedite this process that has now been a four month ongoing issue.
Heather,
Thank you for clarifying this. It is entirely possible that I missed this in the documentation regarding the integration, but I do not remember seeing anything that stated a batch screening was the only supported method. Would it be possible to request an update to the documentation so that it is clearly stated?
Perhaps this is the new standard, but as recently as October we did an Express Screening, reached out to their customer service and were provided a Tessitura import file. I just think they have some internal issues at the moment. I still haven’t heard anything back for our file. For our summer appeal, I ended up downloading the data from the express screening and using vlookup to merge with the donor/prospect spreadsheet we were working with. Not the best outcome considering the time they’ve had to fix the issue, but at least we could still use the data.
