Hi all,
We are interested in integrating with iWave. We recently learned that they are going to provide screening on the household level in their upcoming new release. We will wait for that opportunity. In the meantime, we would love to find out about your experience with the integration process and how you are using the information. Was it difficult to implement? Do you have any tips to share?
Thanks in advance for sharing!
Susan
I don't have any tips, but I'm looking to do the same, so following this. Thanks!
Hi Susan,
I'll start by saying that I really enjoy the iWave online platform. Good data, in depth research, and ability to comb through multiple selections. We used the integration for about a year at my organization and almost always ended up back online. I'm not sure if I just never learned how to get the most out of it or what but we didn't find the integration to be that effective. The integration returns the 3 proscores in the Tess account, which is helpful in a pinch, but doesn't provide any of the back-up data like research would on the actual platform. Often, if I was doing individual research, I would head to the online site, perform the research myself, and save everything as a CSI note in Tess. We mostly performed this research for Board prospects and high-impact prospects. For larger swaths of people, we'd perform the screen on the iWave platform.
We're also interested to see how the screen will be updated for household and may look it up when it comes out. (I'd love to hear how it went when you go for it.) But overall, for our purposes, I didn't get much use out of the integration besides a few quick numbers. That being said, if you just need to know off the cuff whether it's worth talking with someone, this will give you a basic overview of their wealth in seconds.
Cheers,
Sean
Thank you so much for your feedback Sean.
I am interested in seeing the Pro scores and additional information that the file would normally provide. It sounded like this is an option but I really want to see what is returned in the record.
My goal is to quick qualify and use internal indicators as well. The purpose would be to determine where there is potential for giving and at what level. Once this was identifies, then we can take a deeper look at certain records while others can go the route of a mainstream ask process. I am happy to provide an update once I have the next call.
Sincerely,
Hi Cara,
Once I learn more I will be happy to share!
Hi all -
Just to follow up with Susan's post with the latest and greatest. The newest version of iWave is released and does provide screening on the household level as well as instant single account level screening which I've been really excited to release and over a dozen new data points brought back into Tessitura compared to the older integration. I know the Public Theatre is just now getting it installed, and I'd love to hear how you are using the integration and iWave information in your daily work!
Best,
Heather
We just got this integration installed yesterday and honestly I've never seen my Development Director so excited. We're still mapping out how we plan to use it in our daily work, but the potential has the team really excited.
Do we have to schedule an upgrade? Or is this done automatically for RAMP users?
Hi Tom -
You'll need to reach out to iWave to talk about scheduling the upgrade. They are currently managing the pipeline of organizations to upgrade/install. We're aiming at doing somewhere around 2-3 per week during 2020 as a cadence. There are some minimum Tessitura requirements as well - you need to be on either 15.0.10+ or 15.1.3+ in order to use the latest version of the integration.
Heather Laidlaw Kraft (she/her),
Thanks, we meet the basic requirements. We will reach out when we are ready.
