Good Morning!
We are fairly new to the world of Tessitura and are looking for some "best practice" tips on where we should record information on member/donor information around items such as food allergies. We would want to be able to match this know information up with registration for events that these folks might be attending via List Manager and/or Extractions. We were thinking of CSI or Attributes and would like some assistance from the "community" on what approach they have found most helpful.
Any such wisdom would be most welcome. Thank you.

Hey John,
I would suggest using attributes for this type information. You could also use constituencies, but this might cause your header to get cluttered with them. It's pretty easy to pull lists based on attributes and/or constituencies. This could be useful information for other departments too, should they do anything that may touch those special attention items.
I made an assumption you are on at least V15 so here is the help link for attributes that will lead you to setup. https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v150/Content/Attributes/Attributes%20Screen.htm

Hi John,
We use a specific Research/Notes type for this information - given the many and varied dietary requirements/allergies we're informed of. For us, we retrieve this information for non-ticketed events which are recorded as Special Activities. I've also done some custom work around this:
As always, happy to share........

Apologies if you get this twice, I emailed the response this morning but doesn't seem to have populated here when I view online. .........................
We used to keep this information in research notes but have moved to plans instead.
As our Philanthropy team manage all our special events I have created steps etc to track this and other personal information which is then control grouped for their user group.
Campaign: Non year specific ‘Philanthropy Personal’
Steps: Any general step can be used to update information such as email, personal letter etc. And I created steps specific to information we already had in research notes.
Personal Dietary
Personal Family
Personal Hobbies
Personal Misc
Personal Pet
This information can be easily obtained with the step detail report for an event.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for this information. Would you be willing to have a chat with us to discuss your report and it's use?
