When your constituents make contributions on your website, is your Tessitura set up to process these as ticket orders?
I am wondering if orders are the only option for processing web donations or if other organizations have found a way for this to be processed outside of orders? (We are not using TNEW or RAMP, though I don’t believe this would matter)
We want to be able to adjust web contributions without the restrictions caused by them living in ticket orders and are also considering having these contributions come in to Tess on account directly.
Thanks, all!
Andrea
We have a bunch of online contributions! The contributions for the Atlanta Symphony and the Alliance Theatre go On Account and our Financial Services team uses the Contribution Import Utility to process them and move them onto the Contributions tab. The High Museum has a customization that processes their contributions (including most of their memberships) directly to the Contributions tab.
Hi Andrea,
Tnew donations that come in via the shipping page go on account for us. Donations on the next page/checkout are written directly to fund; same with donations that the ticket office processes - they show up as contributions but are booked through the ticketing module. I appreciate that it reduces the steps for processing.

Hi Andrea - our Senior Developer did a presentation in 2014 that will be in the archives. We do memberships online (we have a custom website) that do not touch orders and we also do not need to adjust them afterwards! His presentation was called Memberships on the Web. You might want to check it out.
Hi Michele - I couldn't find 2014 TLCC archives. When I searched by the presentation name, it found a discussion from 2015 TLCC. I'd really like to see this and find out how it's working without touching an order.
Oh, I guess 2014 is to far back to be in the archives! I can email you the presentation. It has not been updated to REST API - it's still using the SOAP API. We'll be working on that in the next year.
