Custom contribution tab recommendations?

We are interested in utilizing the custom contribution tab and were curious if other organizations had created any particularly successful/useful fields.  This is pretty open-ended as different information is useful to different orgs, but any recommendations will definitely be helpful.    Thanks!

  • We are also interested in using some custom screens, especially for stock contributions.  Would any of you be willing to share screen shots or the codes you are using on these pages (if the codes are generic).  It would be very helpful to see how others have tackled the set-up and layout of these screens.

    Thank you for sharing!

  • I tried to send a screen shot with mine, somehow that did not come through, let me see if I can attach it
for us those stock contribution fields will be helpful, as we don't track loss or gain in tessitura, so really the three fields (name, number of stock, price per share) is all that we display on the acknowledgement report (in addition to the contribution amount)

    for Donor Advised Funds:
after a long back and forth, we decided to enter Donor Advised Fund contributions into the Donors account directly, and only reference the DAF in the custom field. We used to do soft credits, but it really went out of hand with the amount of additional accounts we had to create.

so the custom field also prompts us to not issue a "receipt" for the Donor but only an "acknowledgement"
