Online Donations - in a TNEW environment

Hello folks,

We're looking at overhauling our donations path on our website http://supporters.nida.edu.au/dev/contribute.aspx - we're in the TNEW environment.  We're trying to encourage people to help us in the areas of Scholarships, Bursaries and our Capital Campaign - so really, encouraging people to commit to an ongoing pledge.

If you're doing this sort of thing, would you mind putting your hand up so that we can have a look at the way you're doing it?

Many thanks in anticipation!

  • Thanks for the info Megan.  We are challenged with the log-in requirement with Tnew too and Stripe seems to function so easily on your website.  What do you do to integrate the donor information into Tessitura?  Are you entering each donor and gift manually or periodically uploading in bulk?  Do you acknowledge the gift as you do any other?

    Kind regards,
    Susanne

  • Hi Susanne,

We do daily imports of the previous day's donations. We decided to go for efficiency and use a single source code for one-time gifts, and another source for monthlies. We have a data template that we update monthly that has all email addresses in Tessitura, which then populates the constituent # for upload when it finds a match, which it usually does.

We acknowledge $100+ donations by mail, but all donations receive an immediate email confirmation/receipt. We went with emailhooks for the email acknowledgement. It has more limitations than I'd like, but is doing what we need for now.

    Best,
    Megan
