Hello folks,
We're looking at overhauling our donations path on our website http://supporters.nida.edu.au/dev/contribute.aspx - we're in the TNEW environment. We're trying to encourage people to help us in the areas of Scholarships, Bursaries and our Capital Campaign - so really, encouraging people to commit to an ongoing pledge.
If you're doing this sort of thing, would you mind putting your hand up so that we can have a look at the way you're doing it?
Many thanks in anticipation!
Martin
Hi Martin,
One idea is to use the first Tnew contribution menu to distinguish a one-time gift or a monthly gift, or you could use your two contribution forms - one for one-time, one for monthly.
That said, patrons were really struggling with the log-in requirement with Tnew so last year we launched a Stripe giving form on our site. We saw a 45% increase in number of donations in the first complete campaign we ran, so you may consider an alternate donation form. Stripe has a particularly easy-to-use monthly giving option as well.
Best,Megan
Hi Susanne,
We do daily imports of the previous day's donations. We decided to go for efficiency and use a single source code for one-time gifts, and another source for monthlies. We have a data template that we update monthly that has all email addresses in Tessitura, which then populates the constituent # for upload when it finds a match, which it usually does.
We acknowledge $100+ donations by mail, but all donations receive an immediate email confirmation/receipt. We went with emailhooks for the email acknowledgement. It has more limitations than I'd like, but is doing what we need for now.
Thanks for the feedback!
