Happy New Year!
This question came from our fundraising department. "We have several donors who have attended numerous concerts, but we have no record of their attendance because the tickets were purchased by someone else.
So, we have no record of them ever seeing a performance. That kind of history is critical to our donor cultivations and stewardship."
I suggested using Activities to manually track their attendance.
Any other suggestions/experiences are welcome.
Thank you,
Sabina
Hi Sabrina:
Activities can be a good way to do this. Just make sure they get added consistently and that anyone pulling lists knows to include activities as well as tickets.
It is also possible to give these donors a Role of ticket Recipient—this can be done after the fact even if your fundraisers didn't know the donors were guests of a ticket buyer until after the concert. This has to be done by someone with access to a Ticket Order batch (even though they'd just be doing non-transactional order adjustments) but once you adjust the order and add their IDs to one of the seats, they will pull in regular ticket criteria and can be segregated by Ticket History Role if necessary.

Yikes; you might be correct. I have only done this in a Test instance with comp orders and ticket printing was not part of my testing. Apologies for my bad advice!
