Acknowledgement letter process

I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to share what process they use for acknowledgement letters. Currently, we have various types of personalized letters (for board members, major gifts, corporate and foundation) that are sent to the appropriate gift officers to be personalized, and then all letters are signed by one person, the director of our department. I'm wondering if anyone does this a different way (i.e., splitting up who signs letters depending on the giving level and type). We are trying to find a way to split the work load so it is not all on one person to sign, which can be cumbersome. Thanks all!

Parents
  • At Royal MTC we do the signing this way:

    Artistic Director

    ·         Gifts $1000+

    ·         Board Members

    Executive Director

    ·         Gifts $150-999

    Annual Fund Manager

    ·         Gifts under $150

    Director of Development

    ·         All Corporate gifts

We have also just implemented a double sided postcard the size of a number 9 envelope that says ‘Thank You’ on one side and a small message on the other with space for the appropriate person to leave a personal note. This will replace letters for all Annual Fund gifts.
