Campaign Structure - How many campaigns/fiscal year do you have?

We started using Tessitura in FY16 and set up 56 different campaigns for the fiscal year alone.  As we approach FY17, our group is questioning this strategy.  We are curious of how many campaigns other Tessitura users are working with per fiscal year. Specifically in the Art Museum industry.    Thanks.

  • Here at BAM we have from my point of view a lot of Campaigns.  (Not clear that this is the only way to do this.)  Here are the counts over time.

    Fiscal Year           Count of Campaigns

    2016                                       48

    2015                                       52

    2014                                       46

    2013                                       46

    2012                                       41

    2011                                       41

We also use a few evergreen campaigns for things like Endowment.  (Evergreen meaning that we do not create a new campaign each fiscal year.) Again this may not be the best way.  Consider using Campaign Categories as your friend to tie together multiple campaigns over time.

For Fundraising campaigns we have some already created with pledges going out to Fiscal Year 2024 and beyond.

We have a whole lot of funds as this is where GL Codes are assigned and finance breaks contributions down a lot.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Rich,

We have fewer campaigns, but many funds.  Our campaigns are by fiscal year and include the appropriate funds for things like Acquisitions, Endowment, Membership, Corporate Support, Foundation Support, Individual Support, Restricted Funds,  and separate elevated event campaigns for each our events.
