Gift Aid eligible donations showing as Out of Scope

Hi

I am going through our Gift Aid claim for this financial year and I have a few donations which I know are eligible for Gift Aid showing up as Out of Scope. I'm wondering what could be affecting these donations - whether it's how funds/membership has been set up, putting donations on households or something else? We're part of a Tessitura consortium so I can't necessarily see how everything has been set up in the background.

Thanks for any help you may be able to give!

  • Could it be the payment type? CAF cheques and certain other payment types show as out of scope for us.

Usually, if we see an odd 'out of scope' it's either

    • been moved 'on account' when adjusted,
    • the initiator hasn't been factored into the contribution and the declaration hasn't been picked up. Once adjusted and added it, it tends to kick in.
    • the declaration date hasn't 'stuck' - sometimes temporarily changing the received date back one day forces the GA transactions to update
    • The fund isn't eligible OR the GSV on the fund/membership hasn't been yet fulfilled.
    • The contribution is also credited to a creditee type that isn't eligible for GA, (check TR_CREDITEE_TYPE for these indiactors)
