sunsetting plans

Am I correct in that there is no way to inactivate or retire a plan from a worker's portfolio? As we get set up to do gift renewals it seems the only way to not see all the old plans is to sort them out by campaign, or maybe status, but I can see that being a big pain in the butt if you have a portfolio with multiple campaigns over multiple years and you need to uncheck all those boxes everytime you load up the portfolio screen.

Are there any plans to automatically retire plans based on plan end date or campaign year end date or with a manual step update somehow?

  • While I think that would work on the portfolio level I would like to see it on the constituent plan level as well. For clarity having historical plans greyed out would be helpful on accounts with many plans.

Unchecking the "Portfolio" checkbox could be tedious to do for a large number of plans, but if you knew you wanted to do this for all of the plans from last year's campaigns (for example,) that shouldn't be too difficult for your DBA to accomplish on the back end. I've considered this approach but not yet actually tried it.

I agree. I also wish there were more flexibility in determining which details you can see on the Plans tab. It's a pain that you can't see the status without double-clicking into the plan!

  • Absolutely agree!  The status is one of the most important things, I've always been shocked it's not visible without clicking in.
