sunsetting plans

Am I correct in that there is no way to inactivate or retire a plan from a worker's portfolio? As we get set up to do gift renewals it seems the only way to not see all the old plans is to sort them out by campaign, or maybe status, but I can see that being a big pain in the butt if you have a portfolio with multiple campaigns over multiple years and you need to uncheck all those boxes everytime you load up the portfolio screen.

Are there any plans to automatically retire plans based on plan end date or campaign year end date or with a manual step update somehow?

  • The Show in My Portfolio box can also be unchecked for a number of Plans using Plans Maintenance.

Unchecking the "Portfolio" checkbox could be tedious to do for a large number of plans, but if you knew you wanted to do this for all of the plans from last year's campaigns (for example,) that shouldn't be too difficult for your DBA to accomplish on the back end. I've considered this approach but not yet actually tried it.

  • Hi all!

The status filter at the top of My Portfolio is sticky for each user (use the dropdown at the very top, not the filter icon on the Status column).  So you could select only statuses that your organization considers active, thus filtering out all the others.  You should not need to reset this each time you access your portfolio or even each time you login (so if you are finding that you are, please open a support ticket so we can help you).  This way, history is preserved as is your Portfolio screen.

    Hope this helps!
