I write to you requesting your help. I've just submitted an idea that I would love to see get votes and support. We've recently upgraded to v16, and we've discovered that the donation form now shows up on the payment page if you have a membership in cart. This might be fine for Transactional memberships, but ours are Philanthropic, and we don't want to ask people to contribute for member benefits, only to be asked again at checkout for another donation. Prior to the upgrade, this wasn't a problem. If you have the money for the membership going On Account, the form doesn't show up, but we would love to be able to have the money for a membership flow directly into the fund and remove the manual step of turning that On Account money into memberships. As soon as you assign a fund in LTR_TNEW_CONTRIB_TYPE, the donation form shows up.
It would be great if there was an additional control to turn the donation form off depending upon the contribution type, or the type of membership, or some other toggle. Your support of this idea would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully there can be more control over this feature before more organizations in our region start to move to v16.
