GST Implementation

Hello,

For years we've implemented GST as being built into our pricing layers and then our finance team will just back it out, which has worked quite well for us. We decided to change it this year and implement it as a "Performance Seat Level" fee. We are wondering if anyone has been able to successfully implement it as a fee, as we are finding that we are having issues with exchanges and refunds -- the fee not being returned when necessary and agents needing to override it. We process exchanges in a new order. We are on V15.1.

    We have been doing GST as fees as well since we implemented Tessitura back in 2017.  We haven't run into any issues with returning tickets.  We do both - returns in a new order & same order.  We do "Performance Seat Level" fees.  The fee is set up as rule based and can not edit and we haven't had any issues returning tickets. We have different seasons for Non GST programs.  We have a program that we allow our day admission tickets be used to purchase a memberships within 7 days from the visit - the tickets are returned and memberships (as products) are purchased.
