A big thank you to everyone who joined me for the Mindful Making session this afternoon at TLCC Orlando! Thank you to all those in the room who comfortably leaned into a floating head on a laptop giving you directions, and for Shelley & Heath for setting this up!
I know a few folks had some difficulty accessing the Teams link - here is a link to a little poster I made with the invitations that we engaged in today: Mindful Making with Jessie UptonThis is a canva presentation. I invite you to imagine that this is stuck on a wall and you step closer to view parts or step further back to view as a whole. A PDF version is also attached! After we ended our call, I jumped up and grabbed my pastels and created this super quick representation - with deep thanks
Please reach out if you have any questions or feedback - would love to hear from you!

Thank you for this session, I loved it. Here is mine!
The two things I thought of were quotes from two different people (names redacted here) and then I drew them together to the tea station, along with some other moments and thoughts from the week.
Thank you Jessie,
Appreciate you getting up at so early to lead us through this.
Great way to end the week. (Next time I'll bring my own pastels)
Hi Jessie,Thanks so much for this session, it was great fun. Here is what I ended up doing during the sessionCaryl
Thank you, Jessie!
I arrived a bit late, so I missed the first part of the session. In the end I just drew a happy experience from the week to help me thinking about everything that I learned and help myself process what I needed to focus on. It worked really well.
I also added the images of the experience that helped me process the week. Met Walter! He's a super sweet baby alligator! I hope he brings joy to your week!
Thank you Andrea, Heath, Caryl and Crystal for sharing!
Thank you Crystal, Walter is so CUTE!
Thank you Caryl, are they gel pens that you used? I love how they appear so texturised in this photo. I find myself drawing squares quite often and I'm drawn to the movement in these!
Thank you Heath! I'm drawn to the soft textures accompanying all your image's circular shapes and how they sit in conjunction with the heavier shaded parts. Pastels are great fun - I do recommend!
I was drawing on my iPad in One Note just with a stylus - it was just the Rainbow pen I had in One Note. I started with one square and got a bit addicted to drawing them during the session!
Thank you Andrea - so much detail in such a short time! I've noticed that each of the quotes or phrases are sitting around the edge of the picture - the following phrase emerged for me: Moments framing, where we meet.
