Hey Everyone!
I am evaluating our current Gift Membership process to see if there is a way to make it better. I would love to hear how your museum, zoo or aquarium does gift memberships. Right now we use Contrib-2 on TNEW for gift memberships, the money goes to on-account and the recipients information is collected via the form that creates a CSI. On the backend we apply the on-account money in contribution entry to assign the membership to the recipient. Does anyone do a different process? I would love to hear about it!

That's what we've been doing too. But at least for the time being, gift memberships are not available on TNEW in v16. They are working on it, but the current version doesn't have it just yet. Anne RobichauxThe Historic New Orleans Collection

This is the way we do it to. We actually built a specific payment method called "On Account, Gift of Membership." That way our membership manager can tell the difference between membership money and other On Account money.
We use the Gift Certificate functionality and renamed the payment method to say Gift Membership. This way they don't have to denote a recipient if one is not available and it can be redeemed online, on site and by phone. In theory it can be used for tickets but people don't tend to do that.

Does anyone know when that is happening? As of right now they are not available on TNEW for v16, but is it possible they will be available at some point?
We are looking at a tentative go-live of January/February for our v16. Does anyone think Gift Memberships will be on TNEW v16 by then?
