Hello MZA community!
Is anyone using or plan to use Discover & Go? It's a program to offer free/discounted tickets with your local libraries.
Or has anyone used it and decided to stop the program? If so, what were the challenges or why did you stop?
I hope to also have this as a topic at TLCC, but thought I'd bring it up here first.
Thanks for any and all info!Trini

I haven't heard of Discover & Go, but we are participating in the Museums for All program (https://museums4all.org/) through IMLS and have been for about 18 months. It has been so well received and created a whole new level of accessibility to our locations than ever before. It works through EBT and SNAP qualified individuals who receive free or reduced admissions. We charge $3 for adults and $0 for children through the program. Our number of guests grows monthly and we are about 44,000 guests since inception on the program. I love it!
Sorry to say I don't have experience with Discover & Go, but wanted to chime in to say we participate in something a little less organized in our area, in case you find that others have complaints that prevent you from using the program. The libraries in our area have museum memberships and lend out their membership cards (much like how they would a book or other resource) that visitors can use, usually for free walk-up tickets.
We do also participate in museums for all. Those tickets are free at walk-up as well.
